Steven Buslovich
Steven, the founder and CEO of Headstart Tutoring is a licensed educator in New York State, holding dual certifications in Special Education and Earth Science. He earned a master’s degree in Education and Environmental Science from Brooklyn College. With over 12 years of experience teaching a diverse range of subjects across various schools in New York City—including Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan—Steven has developed a deep understanding of effective instructional strategies.
Steven has expertise and a proven track record in helping students achieve top results in SAT/SHSAT Preparation as well as Science and Math. Steven is known for his patience and compassion, recognizing that each student has a unique learning style. He firmly believes that every student has the potential to achieve their best when given the right opportunities. For the past 17 years, Steven has been dedicated to tutoring, providing differentiated instruction tailored to the individual needs of his clients.
His extensive experience includes working with students across the United States, Canada, and Russia. Steven leverages cutting-edge technology to facilitate remote learning, allowing students to benefit from high-quality instruction from the comfort of their homes. He is highly regarded for his ability to establish trust with his students and empower them with the confidence needed to succeed academically.
When he's not teaching students, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, as well as indulging in his passions for skiing and traveling.
Abagail Pedroso
Abagail graduated from Drew University with a major in Chemistry and a minor in Biology. She was awarded the ACS Division of Inorganic Chemistry award in 2021. Abagail worked for multiple chemistry labs as a TA and partook in inorganic chemistry research on campus for 4 years.
Due to COVID causing classes to go online, she took up the position of an online learning fellow for college level general chemistry. During the summer, she worked as a counselor and TA in a course on molecular orbital theory, among other things, through the New Jersey Governor School of Sciences (NJGSS).
She loves to work with others one on one and has a knack for adjusting to each person’s learning style. These experiences taught her the skill of adapting to an efficient and successful online environment. She is extremely patient and tries her best to go the extra mile when helping her students.
Abagail loves spending time with her two dogs and cooking exotic dishes in her free time.
